I believe stories can help people.

After high school, I was looking for a way to save for my future. I had always loved being creative, and so I posted on Nextdoor that I could help anyone with that sort of thing, but I didn’t really get anyone reaching out. Then I posted saying that for $10, I’d help anyone with whatever tech issues they might have. I received a few texts, one from someone asking if I could help with her three printers. I didn’t really know much about printers, but I went anyway, and I was able to figure it out. To me, the fact that she had three printers in one room was interesting, it made me wonder if she had a business. I asked her, and she did. The printers told a story, before she did. And thanks to them, I now have been working with her for six years strong!

Her company is a product called Lift Your Table® folding table risers (The original folding table riser!). And it was created out of a need to reduce back pain and neck strain. The risers lift folding tables to comfortable heights. But, when I first encountered her, there was a problem. People were confused, not sure what to buy of the options she offered. That’s when I started working on doing what I could. I didn’t know it then, but I was already a minimalist at heart. Refining things to their simplicity, to help people make important decisions. Over the years, I made designs and videos and even and redesigning the website to help it be easier to navigate and for their customers to understand their products and which tables they are compatible with.

That’s where Draconte as a media production business began, and soon I had met many other clients through her. At first I didn’t really notice that all the clients I was working with had a common thread. Can you guess what it is? Once I watched Simon Sinek’s “Start With Why” speech I realized my why is…

I help people help people.

By working with companies who help people, I am able to make an impact on the world. I am proud to have helped plan the pitch and video that got Lift Your Table® onto Lowes.com, bringing a back-safety product to an even bigger marketplace. Whether it’s ergonomics, pain relieving products, medical education, or books that change lives, these are the types of works I gravitate to.

I am always interested in working with new people who are focused on doing something positive to the world through telling your story. If you have a product, service, or idea that you would like me to be part of, please reach out!
